! 世尊, 스러운 반야바라밀다님께 귀의합니다 /

Om Homage to the Perfection of Wisdom, the Lovely, the Holy!

āryāvalokiteśvaro bodhisattvo gambhīrāṃ prajñāpāramitācaryāṃ caramāṇo vyavalokayati sma

ārya-āvalokiteśvaraḥ bodhisattvaḥ gambhīrām prajñā-pāramitā-caryām caramāṇaḥ vyavalokayati sma

 

 

스러운 관자재보살께서는 심오한 반야바라밀다의 을 행하면서 확실하게 낱낱이 관찰하신다. /

 

 

Avalokita, the Holy Lord and Bodhisattva, was moving in the deep course of the Wisdom which has gone beyond. He looked down from on high /

 

觀自在菩薩 行深般若波羅蜜多時 照見

pañcaskandhāstāṃśca svabhāvaśūnyānpaśyati sma

pañca-skandhāḥ tām ca svabhāva-śūnyān paśyati sma

 

 

다섯 무더기(= 五蘊)들이 있는데, 그것들이 실체(= 自性) 함을 확실히 보신다. /

He beheld but five heaps, and He saw that in their own-being they were empty. /

五蘊皆空 度一切苦厄

iha śariputra rūpaṃ śūnyatā śūnyataiva rūpaṃ, rūpānna pṛthakśūnyatā śūnyatāyā na pṛthag rūpaṃ, yad rūpaṃ sā śūnyatā yā śūnyatā tad rūpam; evam eva vedanāsaṃjñāsaṃskāravijñānam.

iha śariputra rūpam śūnyatā śūnyatā eva rūpam, rūpāt na pṛthak śūnyatā śūnyatāyā na pṛthak rūpam, yat rūpam sā śūnyatā yā śūnyatā tat rūpam; evam eva vedanā-saṃjñā-saṃskāra-vijñānam

 

 

사리불이여! 여기서 물질은 空性이고 空性이 바로 물질이다. 空性은 물질과 별다른 것이 아니고 물질은 空性과 별다른 것이 아니다. 물질인 것은 공성이며, 공성인 것은 물질이다. 느낌과 생각과 의지와 마음도 바로 그와 같다./

 

Here, O Sariputra, form is emptiness and the very emptiness is form; emptiness does not differ from form, form does not differ from emptiness, whatever is emptiness, that is form, whatever is form, that is emptiness, the same is true of feelings, perceptions, impulses, and consciousness. /

 

舍利子 色不異空 空不異色 色卽是空 空卽是色 受想行識 亦復如是

iha śariputra sarvadharmāḥ śūnyatālakṣaṇā anutpannā aniruddhā amalā avimalā anūnā aparipūrṇāḥ.

iha śariputra sarva-dharmāḥ śūnyatā-lakṣaṇāḥ anutpannāḥ aniruddhāḥ amalāḥ avimalāḥ anūnāḥ aparipūrṇāḥ.

 

 

사리불이여! 여기서 모든 들은 空性의 특징들을 갖는데, 생하지도 않고 멸하지도 않으며, 더럽지도 않고 깨끗하지도 않으며, 부족하지도 않고 충분하지도 않다. /

Here, O Sariputra, all dharmas are marked with emptiness; they are not produced or stopped, not defiled or immaculate, not deficient or complete. /

舍利子 是諸法空相 不生不滅 不垢不淨 不增不減

tasmācchāriputra śūnyatāyāṃ na rūpaṃ na vedanā na saṃjñā na saṃskārā na vijñānaṃ

tasmāt śāriputra śūnyatāyām na rūpam na vedanā na saṃjñā na saṃskārāḥ na vijñānam.

 

 

사리불아! 그러므로 空性에는 물질도 없고 느낌도 없으며 생각도 없고 의지도 없으며 마음도 없다. /

Therefore, O Sariputra, in emptiness there is no form nor feeling, nor perception, nor impulse, nor consciousness; No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind /

是故 空中無色 無受想行識

na caksus-śrotra-ghrāṇa-jihvā-kāya-manāṃsi na rūpa-śabda-gandha-rasa-spraṣṭavya-dharmāḥ na cakṣus-dhātuḥ yāvan na manovijñāna-dhatūḥ.

 

 

, , , , , 생각하는 작용들도 없고 형상, 소리, 냄새, , 촉감, 생각된 내용들도 없으며 眼界도 없고 내지 意識界도 없다. /

No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind; No forms, sounds, smells, tastes, touchables or objects of mind; No sight-organ element, and so forth,

until we come to: No mind-consciousness element; /

無眼耳鼻舌身意 無色聲香味觸法 無眼界 乃至 無意識界

nāvidyā nāvidyākṣayo yavānna jarāmaraṇaṃ na jarāmaraṇakṣayo.

na-avidyā na-avidyā-kṣayaḥ yavāt na jarā-maraṇam na jarā-maraṇa-kṣayaḥ.

 

 

無明도 없고 무명의 消滅도 없으며 내지 老死도 없고 老死 消滅도 없다. /

There is no ignorance, no extinction of ignorance, and so forth, until we come to: There is no decay and death, no extinction of decay and death. /

無無明 亦無無明盡 乃至 無老死 亦無老死盡

na duḥkha-samudaya-nirodha-mārgāḥ. na jñānam, na prāptiḥ na aprāptiḥ

 

 

도 없고 앎도 없으며 도달도 없고 도달치 않음도 없다. /

There is no suffering, no origination, no stopping, no path. There is no cognition, no attainment and no non-attainment. /

無苦集滅道 無智亦無得

tasmācchāriputra aprāptitvādbodhisattvasya prajñāpāramitāmāśritya viharaty acittāvaraṇaḥ. cittāvaraṇanāstitvādatrasto viparyāsātikrānto niṣṭhānirvāṇaprāptaḥ.

tasmāt śāriputra aprāptitvāt bodhisattvasya prajñāpāramitām āśritya viharati acittāvaraṇaḥ. cittāvaraṇa-na-astitvāt atrastaḥ viparyāsa-atikrāntaḥ niṣṭhā-nirvāṇa-prāptaḥ.

 

 

그러므로, 사리불이여! 도달하는 성질의 것이 아니기 때문에 보살은 반야바라밀다에 의지하므로 마음에 장애 없이 안주한다. 마음에 장애가 없기 때문에 두려움이 없고 顚倒를 초월한 궁극의 열반에 도달한다./

Therefore, O Sariputra, it is because of his non-attainmentness that a Bodhisattva, through having relied on the Perfection of Wisdom, dwells without thought-coverings. In the absence of thought-coverings he has not been made to tremble, he has overcome what can upset, and in the end he attains to Nirvana. /

以無所得故 菩提薩埵 依般若波羅蜜多故 心無罣碍 無罣碍故 無有恐怖 遠離顚倒夢想 究竟涅槃

tryadhvavyavasthitāḥ sarvabuddhāḥ prajñāpāramitāmāśrityānuttarāṃ samyaksambodhimabhisambuddhāḥ

tri-adhva-vyavasthitāḥ sarva-buddhāḥ prajñāpāramitām-āśritya-anuttarāṃ samyak-sam-bodhim abhisambuddhāḥ

 

 

三世에 머물고 계신 모든 부처님들께서는 반야바라밀다에 의지하여 최고의 올바른 완전한 보리를 완전히 깨달으신 분들이다. /

All those who appear as Buddhas in the three periods of time fully awake to the utmost, right and perfect Enlightenment because they have relied on the Perfection of Wisdom. /

三世諸佛 依般若波羅蜜多故 得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提

tasmāj jñātavyam: prajñāpāramitā mahāmantro mahāvidyāmantro ‘nuttaramantro ‘samasamamantraḥ,

tasmāt jñātavyam: prajñāpāramitā mahā-mantraḥ mahā-vidyā-mantraḥ an-uttara-mantraḥ a-sama-sama-mantraḥ

 

 

그러므로 알아야 한다. 반야바라밀은 위대한 주문이고, 위대한 슬기의 주문이며, 無上의 주문이고, 동등한 것이 없는 주문이며, /

Therefore one should know the prajnaparamita as the great spell, the spell of great knowledge, the utmost spell, the unequalled spell, /

故知 般若波羅蜜多是大神呪是大明呪 是無上呪 是無等等呪

sarvāduḥkhapraśmanaḥ, satyamamithyatvāt. prajñāpāramitāyāmukto mantraḥ. tadyathā:

sarvā-duḥkha-praśmanaḥ, satyam amithyatvāt. prajñāpāramitāyām uktaḥ mantraḥ. tat yathā:

 

 

모든 괴로움을 평정하며, 거짓됨이 없기 때문에 진실하다. 반야바라밀다에서 주문이 설해진다. 그것은 다음과 같다. /

allayer of all suffering, in truth -- for what could go wrong? By the prajnaparamita has this spell been delivered. It runs like this: /

能除一切苦 眞實不虛 故說般若波羅蜜多呪 卽說呪曰

gate gate pāragate pārasaṃgate bodhi svāhā. iti prajñāpāramitāhṛdayaṃ samāptam

gate gate pāragate pārasaṃgate bodhi svāhā. iti prajñāpāramitā-hṛdayaṃ samāptam

 

 

건너간 분이시여! 건너간 분이시여! 저 멀리 건너간 분이시여! 저 멀리 완전히 건너간 분이시여! 깨달음 만세! 이처럼 반야바라밀다의 핵심이 완성되었다. /

Gone, gone, gone beyond, gone altogether beyond, O what an awakening, all-hail ! -- This completes the Heart of perfect Wisdom. /

揭帝揭帝 波羅揭帝 波羅僧揭帝 菩提娑婆訶
