자신 조차 자신 것이 못되는데

 

법구경 62

62. 어리석은 사람은 ‘이 아이는 내 아들이다’ 또는 ‘이것은 내 재산이다’라고

생각하면서 번민한다. 그러나 자신 조차 자신 것이 못되는데, 어찌 아들이나 재산 을 나의 것이라 할 것인가!

 

 

62 Puttā matthi dhanammatthi iti bālo vihaññati

Attā hi attano natthi kuto puttā kuto dhanaṃ.

 

62. The fool worries, thinking, "I have sons, I have wealth." Indeed, when he himself is not his own, whence are sons, whence is wealth?
